Gardens by the Bay is an essential part of a stratagem by the Singapore administration to make over Singapore from a 'Garden City' to a 'City in a Garden'. Straddling 101 hectares, it is a part of the city-state's efforts to bring and nurture greenery within the city and capture the spirit of Singapore as a tropical city. The plan is to raise the quality of life by enhancing greenery and flora in the city.
